I have always thought we needed 4 points from the last two games - so I still think 1 more point would be enough.

However, I suspect that Wednesday will be looking for three points so I'm not sure the opportunity to play out a draw exists.

I meant to say last three games of course.

I think a draw will be enough. But would much rather win and be sure!

Don't want to be going into the final game possibly needing something from Stoke to stay up.

I don't think a draw is enough at all, as I don't think Norwich will lose to QPR, and I strongly suspect that Stoke will give us a hammering in our last game

Would you want to go into that last day knowing that the most likely way that we will stay up is if some other team lose/draw rather than win ?

I actually think QPR will beat Norwich, whether we manage a draw is a completely different matter.Southampton maybe the team who allow us to stay up by not managing another point

QPR to beat Norwich and Delia Smith to thank the lord Southampton soften the blow

I'm with you on this HF. Southampton are in turmoil. The supporters and the team are demoralised and the ownership debacle can't be helping. A goal difference of -17 doesn't help either!

Away at WBA next Monday and a tricky last game at home against Sheffield United. They didn't manage a meaningful shot on goal against Burnley at the weekend when the chips were down.

My best guess is one point from these two fixtures and it won't be enough. Looking at it pessimistically/optimistically we could stay up at Southampton's expense even if we lose our final two games....
