And MHS Gresley Rovers won away at Ossett Town. 2-1

Logan 7 - Not at fault with goals.
Johansson 7 - Coped ok. The winger has been on fire recently but didn't get that much chande from Nils
McAuley 6 - Steady, not spectacular.
McCarthy 7 - Steady as a rock.
Kenton 5 - Thought he had a torrid time with their winger. Got totally skinned for their second goal and a lot of pressure came from that side all afternooon.
Tiatto 7 - 100% effort but lacked something today.
Hughes 6 - Got involved but didn't find the kind of passes that were required today. His partner in midfield wasn't playing with any of his team mates which didn't help.
Johnson 2 - Loses ball, gxnt pass & likes hoofing it anywhere. Just cant find anything decent to say about his performance, even his hairstyle is S**t
Stearman 6 - Not a midfielder but got involved. Needs to get more accuracy in his passing if he's going to stay in midfield.
Hume 7 - Ran his heart out, tried to make something happen. Got a rough deal from the ref on a few occasions
Hammond 6 - Plenty of effort but got out muscled most of the time.

Welsh 5 - Never managed to get into the game.
Sylla 7 - Saw a fair bit of the ball, did ok.
Fryatt 6 - Good to see him back. Needs to regain match fitness. Did ok, caused a few problems for them.

Overall a poor display in the first half. Improved second half but as a team they were a shadow of the team that we have watched in the past few weeks. Lets hope we can put it right next week.

on the radio it seemed that we goa lot more attacking as soon as Johnson went off, was this true?

It will always get better once Johnson goes off. it would be better still if he was not playing at all

Totally unrelated but Dodds scored yesterday. Hopefully his spell on loan will give us something to be positive about.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Logan 7 Made a really good save in the first half and couldnt do anything about the goals
Johansson 4 - Small took the piss out of him all afternoon. Slow and easliy turned
McAuley 6 Did ok and won alot in the air. Think he was carrying a knock most of the second half
McCarthy 6 Think the second goal could be aportioned to him and he left Tudgay but would need to see it again!
Kenton 7 - our best defender on the day
Tiatto 7 Good solid performace
Hughes 6 Seemed to get involved more in the second half but still not doing enough with the ball when he has it.
Johnson 3 - One word - static
Stearman 6 I thought he did ok, was better when he moved into the middle and when we started going for the game
Hume 6 - A difficult afternoon but battled well. Got no protection from the ref as he was kicked all afternoon
Hammond 3 - dreadful performance, didnt seem interested and was far to easily knocked off the ball when in good positions

Welsh 6 We seemed to play better when he came on
Sylla 7 Did well, actually got the ball down and tried to play it
Fryatt 6 Did ok and ran hard

Overall we were crap in the first half. We struggled to cope when Wednesday got the ball wide. No urgency in the midfield really was our weak point. We also lacked any width until Welch/Sylla came on. We looked tired, lacked urgency and Johnson was dreaful. We only really started playing after we scored. Still we sit 14th so I am happy at the mo.

Logan 7 Made a couple of good saves but couldnt do anything about the goals
Johansson 5 - Slow and not alert enough to intercept their first goal
McAuley 6 Did ok and won alot in the air. Even ran upfield with the ball until he couldnt find anyone to pass to
McCarthy 7 best defender on the day even though he left Tudgay for the second goal but he was trying to cut out the shot as the Wednesday player cut in after leaving Kenton much too easlily
Kenton 6 - did ok until above lapse
Tiatto 6 solid performace but was obviously gonna get booked as soon as he next was out of order as warned by referee very early on
Hughes 6 more involved in the second half but still not creative enough with the ball when he has it and some missed passes BUT not as many as
Johnson 3 - should have come off much earlier than he did. Is he the opposite of Sansom i.e. gets crapper the longer his hair gets!!!
Stearman 6 he did ok and got stuck in BUT is he really a midfield player?,
Hume 6 - difficult afternoon battled well but no real spark. Got no protection from the ref(who was one of the worst I've seen as he let so many things go he was kicked(as were some of others) all afternoon and pulled back without a free kick when going between 2 of them whereas the ref pulled it up at least twice when it happened to one of their players
Hammond 3 - useless performance, not interested too easily knocked off the ball and even pulled out of a 50/50
Welsh 6 We seemed to play better when he came on even though he hardly got past the defender he tried though
Sylla 7 Did well, actually got the ball down and tried to play it and put in some good crosses He should have been on earlier or from the start
Fryatt 6 Did much better than Hammond and ran more intelligently well taken goal
