Last time I went Hillsborough was on my birthday. Great Day but we lost 4-0 and it was O'Neill's last game. If I remember correctly a section of City put through one of the windows of the bus shuttles.

Yeah I remember that bleeder, it was red hot that day and the buses were crammed full.

I was on that bus, although I was downstairs and all the problems were going off upstairs. It wasn't that a window was put through - somebody had a tool for removing the rubber seal from around the windows; this then enables the window itself to be removed in one piece. This was done with all the windows down one side of the bus and the windows were then hurled out into the street. This was soon seen by the police and the bus was stopped by a dog-van (of all things) and after a brief stop for 'investigation', we had a police escort back to the station.

Yeh. The glass fell and hit the floor and smashed. I went back home on the tram, which was like a greenhouse with the heat and then back home on the train. Where we attempted to order 10 Coca-Colas for Burger King in two mins before the train went.

O, the memories!! Cracking day

Cracking day

Yup - especially for the glass.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday -

Nice price, but I go holiday tomorrow and I would have a day to book it all. I dont know whether the train price would stay that for being so near.

Only got a day to complete a 10 minute internet transaction??

I dont use the internet Duzza to do any shopping, booking or etc. The family doesnt even have a credit/debit card FFS, had to pay for driving theory test by postal order the other day.

Megabus is not possible, the routes dont included Leicester to Sheffield, you can only go London from Leicester, despite the routes not being that much of a hardship.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday -

You know megabus is that only bookable by web?

No it's not. You can book by phone 0900 160 0900 (60p per minute from a BT landline, mobiles and other service providers vary).

Its out of the question because Sheffield and Leicester are only serviced by London, if I had to go to Notts to go to Sheff, I would have pursued but its not the case.

I only answered the question that you asked me.

Believe me, if a Megabus journey had been a practical proposition for this or any other match, I would have included it at the top of the thread. Some London-based fans did use Megabus for this particular game last season, but because of timetable changes, this year it would be neccessary to leave the game before half-time to get back.

If thats the case Boc, if any Megabus journey is possible, please post on future threads.

Didn't I just say that I would?

The fact is that the Megabus service to/from Leicester is not suitable for match travel at present. I suppose that you could go to London games that way but you would have to be down at Gravel Street at about 06:45. And it's hardly any cheaper than MML.

Bleeding hell, not worth it then. I read it was cheaper than the train, misleading advertisements.

The reasoning behind me pursuing with Megabus was because I wanted to do it on cheap. When I get a job, I will have no probelm in getting the train.

Re: Sheffield Wednesday

Surely that Megabus is a complete waste of time?? Ive never used it but why would anyone want to spend 10 hours making a journey they could do in 2.
