Lets put this in a nutshell

Stay of course. He has virtually a complete new team bought with the restrictions of a shoestring budget. He needs time to get them all playing together well, e.g. the one-twos between De Vries and Hume.

Ask again at the end of the season.

I agree but I just thought it would be interesting to see how deep the Levein out sentiment is running after yesterdays "game".

On balance I think he should stay.

I am deeply pessimistic about him now - but if -as i think possible - we are going to be draggged into a relegation dog fight, there is probably a better chance of survival if we don't chop and change again. He probably has a strong enough squad to ensure survival - but please don't anyone talk any more about play offs and rubbish like that.

We are seriously poor.

stay.

we cannot sack a manager at this point in the season, and who would replace him if we do??

We can't afford to sack him and get a replacement in (not that I think that would help).
Why is it the manager that takes all the shite? OK, he picks the team and has some influence on style of play, but if 11 pro footballers play like a bunch of arse, there is only so much he can do. We haven't got a team of quality players, so don't expect miracles every week or even season.
I just want to see those 11 with OUR shirt on look like they care about our team.
CL has alot to prove, have we gone forward in the last year? Not sure. CL is only one part of the jigsaw.

If, as intended by some at the front of the Kop yesterday, we mount a 'Levein OUT' campaign he would be seen as the fourth manager in a row who had been 'forced out of the job by public opinion'. Four-in-four years!! In those circumstances who would want to come?

I voted 'stay', and I think the majority will also. However I'm not sure if our opinions on here are a balanced representation of Leicester fans. I say this because of the amount of people calling for Levein's head around me yesterday, and in previous games. Maybe it's all heat of the moment, but I felt like I was in a minority. People who take the time to have long discussions about Levein and Leicester City like those on this forum will have probably thought about it a lot more than people who go to the games, run down the manager afterwards with their mates, get the micky taken out of them at work by other fans and don't really enter into constructive (obsessive?) discussions about City between games. We see this from some of the ridiculous calls to phone ins etc. And these are the people who will get Levein sacked (I'm not saying their opinion is any less valid, they pay their money too, but probably just saying it's less considered - the same people will be saying after 3 more managers in 2 years and possible relegation, 'why did we sack that Levein?').

Good point Boc. Though we are still a good club and imo there would be plenty that would like to have a go. For the record i don't want Levein out this season whatever happens. Man City went through about 10 managers in as many years and it took them i long while to find their feet again. Southampton are another example.

Exactly, somehow we have to turn the corner.

We have now reaching the position where we are no longer an attractive position for ambitious incoming manager.

There is no quick fix solution.

Yeah I don't think we should sack Levein at all this season. Only time I would think about it is if come February time, we're in SERIOUS relegation trouble, as in in and out of the drop zone.

When they released the financial results for the last year the other day, Tim Davies said that the changing of the manager and bringing in new staff contributed to the loss we had, so I don't think we can even really afford to change the manager again straight away. Changing the manager all the time isn't good. We need to stand by Levein. If managers only get a year before they're pushed out by the fans, we'll never settle, and no good managers will want to come here! Last season everyone was willing to accept the crap final position because it was a crap squad and Levein needed to change it round. He's done that over the summer, changing almost a whole squad, and now after 10 games people have already seen enough of this new squad to say get him out? That's crazy. Their is still a long, long way to go in this league. 36 games still to play, 108 points still to play for! As has been said SO many times, this league is incredibly open, and that means that if you can win a couple of games in a row, it can be easy to get a good run going and move up the league. Just look over the last couple of years. Palace climbed up in the second half of the season and got promoted through the playoffs, Sunderland hadn't started that well last season and won the league. I'm not saying we're going to get promoted, we won't, but my point is there is a LONG way to go, and things can still change a LOT.

He should stay,it takes time to build a team and sometimes patience. If he goes then who do we replace him with, and thats assuming anyone wants the job.Get off the guys back, give him time,at least a complete season, then lets have this discussion again.

i had to smile yesterday CL brings off Hume (who is not match fit) to a chorus of "you dont know what your doing" elvis comes on and slots one in to a chorus of "craig leveins blue and white army" :102:

From where I was sitting I think it was a minority who sang "you dont know what your doing" and the majority who sang "Craig Leveins blue and white army" maybe to show a bit of backing and not everyone is of the 'get rid' mind set.

fickle boneheads :icon_lol: :icon_lol: :icon_lol: ;)

The guy must be frustrated, certain things he cant control..... sending offs, poor referees.I do not think he lacks ambition, and i am certain given support he will get there.Of course we find it frustrating,we come from a great sporting city, and i am certain others love the fact we are in the position we are,but it could be a lot lot worse, and i for one am sure it will get a lot lot better

Time & Patience. We've got to give CL and his team time, and as supporters we have to show patience, however much it might hurt !:icon_evil

A good example of this is West Ham. Last season West Ham fans were shouting for Pardews head, now they shout his name for a very different reason.

I had a 'fickle bonehead' behind me who was pontificating all match about CLs lack of strategic awareness and how he is not not even in the dug-out in the first half. (Does he go in the stands for a better view?).
Anyway there he was moaning that 'where is the goal coming from now' after Hume went off. And then he shut up when Elvis slotted one home a few minutes later.
I would have turned round and laughed in his face, except that he was bigger and uglier than me, and all the stewards had dissapeared to L1 to join in the fun!
