Just been browsing Sky's live fixture list, which has been updated to the end of December, and we have not been picked to appear in a game home or away.

I know we were on twice at the start of the season (away), and I think i'm right in saying the away team doesn't benefit financially.

Last season we only had 1 game (AT HOME) Live on sky (which I think was Coventry on a Sunday) and Spurs at home in the Cup (on BBC)

I know we haven't been playing the best football of late, but It just pisses me off when the likes of Coventry have had 2 home games already this season, and another next Monday against Colchester at home, and we've had 1 in a season and a bit. Were obviously not on until after the new year, and I find it highly unlikely that we'l get a run of live games.

It just seems a bit unfair that other teams like Coventry are earning/getting the revenue, when it would be more fair to share it equally.

I think they do try and do this

What about the Palace game? That was on and we were at home.

The less we're on Sky for home matches, the better. Poxy start times, silly nights, rubbish crowds etc. etc.

Agreed.

I also agree. Hate Sky moving fixtures about. Even the actual kick of has to wait for the nod from the Sky guy on the touchline.

Absolutely agree.......it's the thin edge of the wedge. In N.H.L. hockey games..(Not that I watch them,) The ref blows for a stop in the middle of play because the t.v. network is going to a commercial! While any revenue from t.v. coverage is welcome, they should not have any say in determining match days, kick-off times etc.

A scouse friend who is a Liverpool season ticket holder but lives in London was moaning a week or so back that they'd only had one (I think) Sat 3pm kick-off all season so far due to Sky which messes up his travel arrangements.

It was more exciting years ago when we were in the top division and all the results used to appear on the teleprinter at the same time.

I've got Sky, but would be happy enough if there was just 1 live game on a Sunday with the rest kicking off at 3 on Saturday. Too many live games just waters down the enjoyment imo

Also, too much football makes the game less interesting IMO. We now near enough have a match every day nowadays, theres no need for it, it makes me care less about what happens.

Like the champions lge. A Chelski v Barca game should be a must see game, but when either side can continue in the competition even if they lose then the match itself loses the edge to it.

carlisle vs crewe for me that weekend it is. ****ing friday matches :(

sky coverage is good for the following reasons.

fans who cant make it to games.
increases club exposure especially if we win the game well.
the money exceeds lost ticket sales. (remember if STH dont turn up their money is already in the clubs hands and it would take 10k lost matchday tickets at £15 each to make sky unprofitable.)
