sky coverage is good for the following reasons.

fans who cant make it to games.
increases club exposure especially if we win the game well.
the money exceeds lost ticket sales. (remember if STH dont turn up their money is already in the clubs hands and it would take 10k lost matchday tickets at £15 each to make sky unprofitable.)

None of those is a good enough reason to take football away from 3 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon where it truly belongs. And do you really think that Sky pay us £150,000 for the privilege of screening the match.

How about you giving your list of reasons why Sky coverage is bad?

i could give a million reasons personally. the premiership yesterday was a feckin joke, 3 games i think kicked off at 3....its pathetic. friday night is shit as its poor for transport and generally just a gay time to play a match

Dont forget that this would have proberly been rated an A or B grade fixture. Now with sky coverage I doubt we will have the option of it being anything but a C grade if we want to get even a half decent crowd.

No As and Bs this season - there's only fixtures and fans' fixtures.

Exactly Boc. The money Sky pays for Championship games is not enough to cover losses, from what I have been told.

That was more to do with clubs playing in Europe then Sky!

UEFA cup games are only played on a Thursday for TV purposes, so we're back to it being TV's fault - and Sky is the biggest culprit through having started the whole battle in the first place.
