i rekon, unless we spend big and wisely, we won't get anywhere near the play-offs or the "promise land" this season.....probably end up around 16th, which will be pretty poor.
Milan, get that ****ing cheque book out for the lads!

Yeah, agree with this hundred percent.

A slope isn't called something different just because of its steepness. A slope is a slope. If it's a hill over 2000ft, it's a mountain. If it's a small amount of displaced earth on your lawn, it's a molehill. If it's a moustachioed Canadian snooker player, it's a cliff.

What's the difference between a hill and a mountain?
Unfortunately, there is no universally accepted standard definition for the height of a mountain or a hill although a mountain usually has an identifiable summit. In the United Kingdom, a mountain must be over 600 meters (1969 feet) or over 300 meters (984 feet) if it's an abrupt difference in the local topography. However, some hills can be called mountains and some mountains can be called hills - it's just a matter of the original name given to the relief.

Colin Mountain?

Apologies Steven, I was too trusting of Encyclopedia Britannica :icon_roll there's a mistake I won't be making again.

No need to apologise to me it is Encyclopædia Britannica that should be apologising to you. :icon_wink

God, encyclopedia britannica? Forgot all about that, didnt realise people used it now everyone has the internet.

Why the obsession with spending big. :102:It doesn't guarantee you anything.
What it can bring is changing room unrest.
Spend wisely, yes, but big, not really.

I agree 100% - as long as we spend wisely and bring in the right players then I'll be happy. We spent big in our relegation season and ended up with DJ Campbell and our first trip outside of the top two tiers.
