It can hardly be called a game. It will feature every one of our 23 players (providing they haven't crocked themselves by then) against two separate local teams for 45 minutes each.

Sounds like a well organized and disciplined preseason the boys in blue have put together.

Hinckley, and then off into the Slovenian wilderness to play against some eastern european blokes who will probably be smoking throughout the game and still take the piss out of us.

Haphazard at best. Typical of the last few years of dilly-dallying and pissing about that have turned this club into a punchline.

I don't know - the Slovenia trip looks like a cheapo to me that is probably a good value team building exercise.

There are three up coming fixtures against league opposition.

These games tell us very little anyway and in my opinion there are probably too many of them - we tend to finish up with several injuries to key players before the season even starts. Years ago there used to be a much longer break between seasons and there was a sort of understanding that players would lose their fitness over the summer and needed a hectic build up to recover that level. That doesn't really apply now and I question the value of the pre-season multi matches process.

To me the majority of preseason games now seem to be transfer favours, like ours with Tamworth, along the lines of "You can have our player for £3million and a freindly next season", or as tradition, like ours with Hinkley.
