To give you some idea.

I clicked 'post reply'

and it took 1 minute and 14 seconds for the page to load up.

If it isn't a problem with the site what can I do about it?

If so, what happened?

Also if you click something and it doesn't respond in a second or two, do you just wait for it, or do you try clicking again? A second click will often get an immediate response for some problems.

Also what ISP and browser are you using?

I have changed to different DNS servers in case that was something that was causing the problems some people have had. A side effect of this is that some people may have problems getting on to the site this morning, but it's something that should fix itself fairly quickly.

Really slow now and not working quite a bit too.

theres no need to use technical jargon durham.it wasn't working here earlier on but i think that may be down to a problem at my end,on dial-up at the moment

The server has been fine and I've had no problem accessing the site, probably a routeing problem.

I was updating some software that killed the database server, I've restarted it and everything should be OK now.
