Looking at todays Mercury we're looking at signing another defender, Ehh? is it just me or is the defence not the problem. we need another attacking midfielder, anyone got Zidane's number?

Indeed, Mcgivern and Neilson are almost in the special band of players that get called world class. No problems in that area at all. More clean sheets than a bupa operating theatre.

Bring on the midfielders!

He has also recently had a trial at Sheffield United.

Worth a dabble

At least he can feckin' cross a ball - in direct contrast to every other player in the squad

I have a friend who is a season ticket holder at west ham and I asked him last night what he thought of Solano his response was "he'll never fit in your team because he loves to get the ball down and play football"

Sounds like exactly what we need.

Although I am a bit pissed off that even premier league team fans think we have a reputation of hoofing it!!!

Well in fairness we don't play the most exciting, expansive style of football. It would certainly appear that our interest in Taylor, Sylvestre and Solano who are known as players who are comfortable in posession and like to play football would suggest that Pearson has recognised that we need to improve the quality and style of our play.

I think the signings of Wellens and Gallagher already showed he wanted to try and pass it more... it just hasn't worked, hardly surprising when they are watching the ball fly above their heads 80% of the time.

I feel like agetting a shotgun and hunting down the majority of the thick morons who post on the Mockery story pages.

I have a shotgun and I can borrow my brothers Beagle.

We're set...

In the merc article it says we might try and get this done this morning so that he can play tomorrow-I'm guessing we have till 12 if thats the case?

Its like the Edgar Davids countdown all over again !

I agree and, I thought for once, that the club were in accord with my view as to what was missing when the news broke of their attempt to sign Davids; a player to sit between the defence and midfield. Sadly the current crop of rumours seems to show me, once more in error.
C'est la vie.
