We offered nothing.
We defended terribly.
We lacked shape.
We lacked energy.
We lacked creativity.
We lack fight.
.

I was driving all afternoon so listened to the match on five live.

Now I've never been a fan of making judgements from the selected opinion the commentators give you, but if I'd been asked to describe the match just from the radio this is exactly how I'd have described it. It was blatantly clear from the commentary has awful we were. Any of our attacks you could hear were getting no where near a reasonable attempt, and any of theirs were a goal waiting to happen.

We are the worst team in the league, have been since October and it is astonishing and incredibly lucky that we are still five points clear of the drop - for now.

Had the misfortune of going to that. Walked away from the ground feeling like shit. Went home and cooked Sunday lunch for my wife, sons and their children. Drank three bottles of wine with my youngest son, played some tunes and feel great. For those that are interested, going to post some on the "what are you listening to now" thread.

Football wise. we're doomed!

CR needs to swallow his pride a bit here, apart from Ndidi none of his signings have delivered the formation is constantly tweaked and players end up playing different positions.

I would put DD and Ndidi in the middle and play them constantly, Demari Gray is like Lloyd Dier fast with no end product the bottom line is he is a top end championship player. Albrighton will give you a steady 6-7 out of ten all season put can not nail down a place our central defensive pairing has not been strengthened we paid 30 million for Slimani when it should have been used for a central defender.
if I was the chairman I would tell CR he has 4 games tops to sort this or he is gone, he has consistently tinkered with players/ formations and has tried to fit all his signings into the side at once. Musa is not good enough in short we have recruited badly, for all those out there who have slated Vardy for lack of effort can you blame him? If he presses the play the whole side needs to press with him, the difference is our back four is petrified of playing higher up the pitch.

He had better pick his strongest 4-4-2 and rip Derby apart and then ****ing keep picking the same players !

I mostly agree but not fully.

Claudio is perhaps one of those managers who does well with an existing squad but not good at picking out new signings? speculation on my part as I dont know what process was followed with the likes of musa.

I agree musa is not good enough, if he is played he needs to be CF, not on the wing as he keeps losing the ball. In my eyes I rate schlupp better than musa,. yet we have now sold schlupp and we seem to have downgraded.
Ulloa is rightly not happy as this season the players been picked up front are not performing and yet he isnt getting starts. So we may lose him as well if the transfer request is granted.

What I think the team is failing to realise is that the best form of defense is attack, ok some teams can play soak up the pressure without conceding but we clearly cannot.

Vardy is stranded all the time and he is easily marked.

Regarding the formation., Claudio did not play 442 all last season, he moved between 2-3 different formations, and often changed shape during a game to get the opponent out of shape, I remember when we were away to norwich, the defender had the better of mahrez, so he moved mahrez to the other side and then he created a goal, this season I dont see the tactical genius he was last season. Sticking to 442 rigidly is not the answer as we become too predictable and easy to play against.

I am not sure what I think the answer is, I do think our 2 CBs are too weak now as a pair, and I would like to see mahrez been put up front with vardy or put in the centre or even on the left, but at the same time I think something is wrong with our tactics, and especially the mentality of the team, we treating all our opponents with far too much respect, just sitting back very deep inviting attacks for 70+ mins every game, if we carry on like that for the rest of the season we going down.

Our great escape season, we generally were at least losing only by one goal, and what kept us up was the last run of games we suddenly decided to get at teams, run at them etc. We need to take that approach again, but its not claudio's style, remember he wasnt happy how we were winning games at the start of last season.

True Kante was a huge loss and I truly beleive it affect DD he appears worried to get forward I think Ndidi will help here. I agree CR is getting it wrong but he must be brave and push our defence further up, we mugged teams last year by hunting in packs starting with Vardy.

I think CR has changed tactically because of Kante are we better than most teams around us? I would say yes however if the lads do not up the ante we will go down.

The half time chat clearly did the trick for Morgan, seeing as he proceeded to score an own goal and give away a penalty:

Must have missed that one. 4-0 was it in the end?

So they had a frank discussion about how shit they were, and then came out and played just as shit, if not worse ?

Wankers

The linesman took pity on us and (imo incorrectly) ruled it offside.
Wouldn't have made it 4-0 though. It would have been the 3rd goal, and instead of having a freekick in our 6-yard box, we would have had to start from the middle. Hence, the penalty wouldn't have happened. Could still have become 4-0, or 5-0, or a lot of other scores though.

Who cares whether it could have been 5 or 6?

Not Vardy.

Wouldn't have made it 4-0 though.

 oh you little nit picker you! ;) Yes, it was only 2 nothing at the time.

Had Hj Scandinavian type name had his shooting boots on, they'd have probably reached double figures too... in no particular order ;)
