If you want entertainment and positive feeling in return for paying money then go to the cinema or f*ck a prostitute.

Your answers and comments in this thread are very noble DB, and in the main I tend to agree with you more often that I disagree. However, don't you feel that the demands of the spectators are rising ever higher due in no small part to the high profile of the modern game and the amount of money swirling around in it?

In short, the paying (through the nose) public feel they are being short changed by the performances on the pitch.

it's a very strong DE-motivator.

As if they need one, lazy fecks.

why the feck do people keep going on about our away record anyway? 2 wins in the league is hardly top bollocks is it? our home record is only 1 point worse off than our away record. the difference is that away draws are looked upon as good results

This is only a valid argument if you believe that the players on the pitch CAN actually play better than they are doing at the moment. Is that what you're saying?

Well let's hope that they can otherwise we really are ****ed!

Yes, of course they can play better. Clemence was playing in the Premiership not that long ago but on the last two performances you would never have guessed it.

I'm quite sure that Holloway, Breacker et al will improve the individual performances given time. If not, hopefully they will identify the ones who can't improve and kick them out.

Its no so much ability but effort.Holloway said they tried their best. I disagree ive seen more passion at a vicars tea party

In general the players are not good enough, and anyone thinking that it will be turned around with this squad is deluded. We went for quantity rather than quality in the summer and now we are paying for a shocking period of recruitment.

Their record shows that they are not good enough to play well with any consistency. As Brauny Blue spells out this is about quality - or rather lack of it.

I couldn't fault them for effort against Cardiff. The game was not exactly enthralling but we tried hard against a side of similar quality and sometimes, on the day, we can lift our game to beat better sides.

We have slightly more problems at home than away because there is more onus on us to set out our stall and take the game to the opposition. But unfortunately we lack the players to do that. It's got nothing to do with the level of crowd support - managers who use that excuse are just looking for a place to hide.

I wouldn't say "it's got nothing to do with crowd support", the crowds reactions at times are nothing short of diabolical.

First game of the season, we lose at home to Blackpool, some neanderthals were booing, what the **** is that all about?

Because for 3 months we were fed horse manure about major coups and big things to happen at LCFC while we parted (yet again) with our hard earned money, and then suprise suprise we lose to a league 1 outfit at home and cant even muster a goal.

I cant think why these neanderthals booed either?

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

FKA, you've just answered what, I believe, is one of the reasons "we are where we are".

If you believe what you have just typed, and follow it, and not speaking with your tongue in your cheek, then as a so called Leicester City supporter, I have no time for you.

No offence but i really could not give two hoots what you think of me.

I personally dont boo (while in the ground anyway) but i am starting to lose my tether at people looking at the crowd as one of the main problems "we are where we are".

If Holloways "honest opinions" is to rant on at the treatment of Cort, then i have no time for him either, i will rant on about the treatment of fans, we are treated like mugs and have been for a very long time.

If you want to go to the ground, clap when your supposed to clap, cheer when we score a goal, and sit there in stone cold silence while another dour performance is played out, then good for you :023: :icon_roll

Holloway is a new manager, and is still sussing the players out. I would be very shocked if he came out and had a go at the players three games in, and at a specific player after playing him once. He has to try and get them to perform, they won't do that if he's slagging them off. Criticising the fans is a safe option for him, but there's a fair amount of truth in it too.

Does anyone remember McGhee saying he wanted people to boo if they weren't happy because 'that's what happens at Anfield and Old Trafford'? I didn't boo but 6000 odd people did and we can't just wish them away, least of all Holloway who chose City over Plymouth due to that sort of difference in attendances.

Let's face it, of the 15000 who didn't boo, plenty of them never make any other noise. We spend too much time at this club bullying people into silence. Then they simply don't come back. You pay your money you have a right to an opinion. And unless we're happy that these guys are giving 100% we should be putting pressure on them.

Let's not forget, we've had a fair few turning points in our history due to the fans voicing their opinions. A few years ago demands were very high at city, there was even more booing and a very good atmosphere. Let's not forget the stick Little, even O'Neill got at times. For a long time the ground's been dead. So long as people can bring themselves to be positively noisy as well, I have no objection to them venting spleen.

wolves fans were still booing their players in april of the season they last went up, birmingham were booing their team last year around the same sort of time...to blame fans for players being shit is unfair, if he wants to play injured hasbeens then fair enough, but fans have the right to bitch and boo all they fecking want as it is supposed to be their team. i was still singing for the lads throughout saturday even though part of me though 'what's the feckin point'

True enough. Basic man management isn't it.

I disagree with the 'safe option' comment. On the contrary, it is a very brave thing to say because if the fans turn on him he will be out.

He is doing OK so far.

This is what Talking Balls is all about. Agree to disagree and shake hands. Well done guys. I'm proud of both of you. :icon_wink

Another example of why I think this is the best LCFC forum out there. :038:
