Aye was a definite red card. Wasn't back in the day but he could've easily snapped a leg because of being clumsy and shit.

For me, it’s not a foul, he’s won the ball, the studs are up because his foot has naturally gone up after hitting the ground, it isn’t studs up by his knee or malicious intent. I can see why people think it’s a foul, and I’m sure the rule book can be quoted and I can’t say too much other than what I see, just seems very very harsh.

I also really despise the lack of consistency with injury time, as if it doesn’t make a difference. They have systems in place to see who’s armpit is offside, yet are happy to play 80 minutes some games and 90 in others.

I dont think it was a red for preventing a goalscoring opportunity (the official line) but defo was for trying to snap a player's leg. Funny old game.
