Madders was frustrating at times....took a couple of shit efforts out of panic for example. Also did some good stuff and picked the right moves and passes. Overall a good performance. The last 2 games looking like his previous absolutely ****ing shite efforts may be a mental thing.

That was a massive win for us last night.

I can't help but feel the fans are letting the how special Europe is for LCFC pass them by a bit.

There will come a time, possibly sooner than expected, where we won't be involved in it.

These guys beat Napoli and so to go away from home in the snow and beat them is a great result.
We've now got legia and spartak at home. Get 4 points out of those and we should progress you'd have thought. Get two wins and it's nailed on.
I think we obviously miss ndidi in terms of goals conceded and chances conceded stats. 9n average we are more open without him. That, compounded by our defense only just working back toward full strength is why we are having to score 3 or 4 goals to win games v utd and Moscow. Personally Id rather see us trying to do it that way (we clearly have the firepower) than sit waiting for the game to happen to us like we did earlier in the season when the back four was well below strength.
Win the next 3 games 4-2 or 4-3 and then get ndidi back in and everyone will be happy as Larry.

Thanks for the advice.

I will happily congratulate him for his first goal contribution since Fulham away on 3rd Feb. What a wonderful player he is. We're so lucky to be paying him £100k a week for such returns.

I want regular returns from him. Then I'll gladly credit him - as I did for a spell in Dec/Jan when he was playing really well. But when he's our main playmaker who has the luxury of not really needing to defend, he has to contribute much more before I get off his back.

And he still collapsed to the ground over and over today with minimal contact. He's embarrassing.
You weren't discussing the regularity of his performances. You were commenting on this performance in isolation.

He created the most chances out of anyone and was directly involved in several goals. Other than the impossible, it's hard to fathom what you actually want from him.

Although Vardy is currently joint top PL scorer this season - any of you betting chaps know what the odds are for Patson Daka winning the golden boot -should he go on and replicate this in the PL?

250-1 on betfair sportsbook and paddypower. Exchanges are currently 115-1 so you could make it risk free at about 130-1

Whatever it is, you'd surely be throwing your money away on a player that hasn't started or scored in a Premier League game yet.

He's not featured in Sky Bet's list. But Kelechi is 100/1 which is actually kinda tempting... Vardy is 10/1

Sorry, what?

Thanks -I won't be placing a bet - but it will be interesting to see what happens to Patson (and those odds) over the next couple of months.

Two more things I’d like from Maddison. I’d like him to get back to putting the ball in the back of the net, and I’d like him to improve his corners (which were better than previous yesterday)
He needs consistency added to his game.

Even better if it's straight in from a direct free kick. I can't remember the last time we scored one.

I agree that would be beneficial. It doesn't mean that he hasn't been excellent in his last two games.
