Uncle Bulgaria can be seen here and this is the famous song

Underground, Overground, Wombling Free, the Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we.
Making good use of the things that we find, things that the everyday folks leave behind.

Uncle Bulgaria, he can remember the days when he wasn't behind The Times,
With his map of the World. Pick up the papers and take them to Tobermory!

Wombles are organized, work as a team. Wombles are tidy and Wombles are clean.
Underground, Overground, wombling free, the Wombles of Wimbledon Common are we!

People don't notice us, they never see, under their noses a Womble may be.
We womble by night and we womble by day, looking for litter to trundle away.

We're so incredibly, utterly devious making the most of everything.
Even bottles and tins. Pick up the pieces and make them into something new, is what we do!

Re: Sky Sports - All-Time Greatest Leicester Players

Is Steve Walsh our coach a man that would take a much younger woman to the gym? I don't know, I'm only asking.

I imagine he is more liked Bill Shankley who celebrated his wife, Ness, birthday by taking her to watch Hartlepool play.

It was Rochdale reserves.

Not trying to humiliate people, are you Jeff?

I have just checked and you are right. Below is the full quote:
On rumours that he took his wife to watch Rochdale on their wedding anniversary: “Of course I didn’t take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present, it was her birthday. Would I have got married in the football season? Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.”

I don't think it was to humiliate. I stated a fact that was wrong. Jeff was right to correct it. Next time I will try and remember the old historian's adage: check your facts before you go into print and not after.

Still love that quite everytime I see it.

Michael Morrison, Andy King and Nicky Adams were in the city centre earlier at about 1:30pm. They were buying one of those milkshakes (I think) from that place opposite the pie shop just off the highstreet.

I was in that burger restaurant so my view was somewhat skewed. :(

If you were a proper "Leicester til i die" fan you would have gone over and asked. :icon_roll
