I just looked at the pre season training pics on the OS and players have their squad number on the training gear...Could this give us a insight into who is first choice?

Well it might if the photographs were big enough to distinguish the numbers. I can see:

1 Neilson
6? N'Gotty
9 Cort
11 Mattock
17 Stearman
34 Gradel
35 Odihambo

Can anybody make out any more?


What I can't see is any of the transfer-listed players in the pics. I wonder if they are training elsewhere? Or not at all?

probably, or not, there are only about 16 of them, so it wouldn't be a hard squad to put together i.e all of them

I think it is safe to say that everyone was there.

Aren't all the players from last season wearing the same shirt numbers as before? (except Hughes perhaps?)

I wouldn't read much into these ones yet, they'll probably be shuffled around a bit in the next few days... For example, I'd imagine Mattock will get a less obscure number than 31
