Basially, our midfield is non-existent. There's no passion, leadership, fight, determination or desire in any of the players I've seen this season, barring Weso to an extent. These aren't things that can be worked on during training. It needs a strong character to bring these qualities out, and we don't have one anywhere capapble of doing that.

oh christ :icon_conf sounds like the only positive on saturday was logan which doesnt say much for the rest of them :icon_roll

Logans making some good saves but in his short spell he has conceeded a pen and should have been sent off. Not really a positive in my eyes

Some might argue he could have been sent off in two out of his 3 games:icon_eek:

Only if we had had a poor ref at St Andrews. Steve Bennet is a quality ref and IMHO got the shout completely right on Saturday - and clearly showed to the crowd and all the players why he had made the decision the way he did. Top Class!!

from what ive heard the ref got the decision spot on on saturday

I think that bring in Johnson has been a detriment to our midfield. He dosn't release player with his passing, they tend to be directly at the player. He is also the first of the midfield to start hoofing the ball. Why I don't know maybe it saves his legs or he just hasn't the vision for anything else. Not saying that the rest of the midfield is any better but he is suppose to be the old head in there to help the others. Although both Hughes and Williams have failed to deliver on most occasions this season, I think they are a better option than Johnson. That's saying something for me knowing than I am not a keen fan of Williams.

Someone needs to sit him down and have a word because everyone here knows he can ply better than he currently is.

Perhaps he is still playing in pain. I know that last season that limited his passing massively. If he still has the same problem it would explain a lot.

Come on Hughsey, you are better than this. Believe!

Absolutly, I can barely think of a decision he got wrong (apart from a possiable hand ball:icon_wink:icon_wink:icon_wink).

That hand-ball (if it did in fact happen) and the falling-over of Stephen Hughes had a couple of things in common. They both happened near the halsway line - and in both cases, there were plenty of other people around who cold have stopped the subsequent goal.
