And me! I read an article on him ages ago and it said he was one of the hottest prospects in Scotland! He used to play for Millwall apparently.

John Stern would be a good purchase for Division 1. I don't think he will command a big wage and is more than capable of scoring us the 20 goals that Dickhead would of.
Couple of points...

1. He's called Stern John
2. That "dickhead" may still be with us next season, will you still call him that if he is?

What price will you lay me about Dickov still being a Leicester City player on the 31st of August.

Id aso like to poin out he scored about thee goals in one season or forest...in division one!! he scored about ten for brum...in division 1!!

so he may be decent player but no world beater...plus i bet hes on around 10 grand a week, this is the prem were talking.

Birmingham City 82 48 3 0 34 29 21
Nottingham Forest 80 56 11 1 24 19 20

its ok...1 goal in four..hskey got 1 in four and got slated...so take your pick!!

He has done enough by not coming out and saying he is going nowhere, he wants to know if the grass is greener and that is enough for me

Agreed.

Its a profession!!! hes not been here for years and years. sure he should prehaps consider all the thins we have doen for him. But the lure of the premiership is massive..and we coused the thing by drawing up a ridiculous contract. no one has asked the simple question, whos idea was the contract in he fist place. Was it just invented by the board who thought it would be a great idea to sod us up even more on the way down. or, as i think may have happened, di dickov and his agent put pressure on leicester to make such a contact clause just so we kept him cos he knew how important he was to us.

He is thinking about the best deal for his last few years. personally i tihnk he should stay, he will only get marginally better wages else where (i mean WBA, Norwich, etc, all have wage caps and most are no more than 5-10 k). secondly he would remain captain, a big responsibility and one which i think would enhance his own game. and thirdly playing in the 1st division will not runi his chances of international call ups as the scottish squad is full of useless lower division players (paul richie for god sake!!)

sorry malf. Stern John scored 21 in 82 games for Brum and 20 goals for forest. mostly from a yard...bring back akinbiyi...stoke city supporters player of the year!!!! (i kid you not!!)

he is desperate to break into the side.

More fool him - I can't see that happening somehow because he is behind Forsell, Heskey, Dickov, and Morrison....
