We should have never let him leave the club. It was a disgrace how he was left out to dry after everything he gave the club.
Be it as a player/coach/scout anything!
I always think with his passion and love for the club he could replace Birch and what Birch does in the future when Birch calls it a day.

My heart always said Walshie for manager during that era and it felt great when him and parker were in charge for the Southend away game. I went that night and it was excellent although we did lose the match. The song "Stevie Walshes Blue & white army..............".
But long term my head would say no. He may have coped well but I would hate to think of him being brought in and 10 games down the line, us fans who love him, were now calling for his head.
Maybe its best we remember him as a legend as a player and not tarnishing it as a manager.
The legend lives on!

I didn't think Walsh and Cottee would of been able to have run the club if they were appointed. By the looks of it, Cottee fvcked up big time at Barnet and doesn't seem like managerial material. Walshie needs managerial experience before taking on such a big job.

I would love Walshie to become manager one day......Only if he gets the experience first.

Both captained the club, both had terrible disciplinary records, both were hard as fcuk, both were good in attack and defence, both scored winning goals at wembley.

Walshie played on too long and didn't get the Goodbye he deserved. Same will happen to Matty if he doesn't call it a day soon.

But for me there is one big big difference. Walshie's face when he scored the winner against Derby at Wembley. That goal meant as much to him as it did for to the fans. Reason being, Walshie was, is and always will be Leicester through and through.

Walshie's a hero and Matty's was just a bloody good player.
