Sound, he looked fairly fit and got involved going forward, obviously he will get a tougher work out in league matches but he looks like perfectly good cover for Gilbert.

Apart from that, a proffesional win with three lovely goals, King's in particular was stunning, a perfect 25 yard lob with the outside of his boot, looked breathtaking from where I was sitting!

Yep, fantastic goal from King. But all it does is gloss over another anonymous game from him.

Apart from that, and after the expected early pressure from Stevenage, it did seem t be easier than it could've been.

Two very well worked goals from Dyer and Fryatt, and of course King's superb effort made it a comfortable scoreline, but both sides had great chances to add to the scoreline.

Thought Oakley and Edworthy combined well together on that side, and that depsite a couple of dodgy moments from them, Morrison and Tunchev looked at ease in defence.

Howard won a fair bit in the air though as usual, go feck all from a very poor ref.

Fryatt didn't seem as greedy today, but should've scored when he had the goal wide open, he must've fet a right prat!

Their player who got booked for the tackle on Mattock should've been sent off for the one of Morrison, but it took so long for the ball to go out of play after being given the advantage the ref must've forgot!

Overall, a potential banana skin was avoided with ease and we are in the hat for the next round.

for those who went, how did Edworthy play?

Better than you'd expect of a player who's playing his first competitive game in 6 months. Not great, but competent in the situation. Made two errors, one negligible and one awful, but nothing to be too worried about at this stage. Be better when he's match fit.

at least six weeks out according to Radio Leicester with a Knee injury looked more like his ankle when it happened

No great loss I'm afraid. His return coincided with the defence looking shaky, and his distribution is awful.

if he is to go in the transfer window Saturday may well have been his last contribution in city colours

He's only just come back after a lengthy absence. Who is going to want to take a risk on him yet?
