True, he was exceptional at tap-ins when Man City were already 5-1 up.Iheanacho looked like a naturally gifted finisher at Man City
He looks like he's never seen a set of goals here.

This is the real rub. To say we have somehow 'ruined' him is ****ing ludicrous.True, he was exceptional at tap-ins when Man City were already 5-1 up.
He was shit when we bought him but because he was a Man City player it meant he was obviously decent? I genuinely mean it I have seen better league 1 players than this guy, his ball control tenacity and tactical awareness is lacking at this level. This is the real rub. To say we have somehow 'ruined' him is ****ing ludicrous.
There just isn't enough evidence to suggest that he is anything other than very average at best. A goals reel could fool you into believing thay players like Ahmed Musa, Shola Ameobi and Andy Caroll are talented strikers but the truth is very far from this. I'm with you in terms of not having to rush out and spend squillions on a striker but to give any credence to the fact the we are somehow responsible for the shite we have seen from Iheanacho is bonkers. He's a talented striker. If you look at his goals reel, he is a natural finisher. You can't really argue with that.
His problem is his mentality and confidence. That's why he's not kicked on. Criticism of this is fair enough.
I thought he did great when he came on at Luton. If any manager can help him it's Rodgers.
Problem is, he just isn't getting any opportunities and is unlikely to.
The point is JV always had that in his locker, just listen to Rodgers he was shocked by JV ability as a striker and footballer. Kelechi is nowhere near this level he is simply not good enough to play in the Premiere league he has had ample opportunity to prove this and has failed. we bought a dud pure and simple Man City must have been rubbing their hands with glee when we moved in for him and the fee well they must have pissed themselves laughing!Over the last few years, we have been trying to find a player to play the Vardy role, as we played to JV's strengths.
However, we have now evolved as a team, JV, has evolved as a player.
If the way we are to play in the future is what we saw against Southampton [here's hoping], more players in the box when we attack, then that way could, and should, suit Kelechi.
Time will tell.
I'm not sure if it happened in the end, but, given that it was widely reported that they were insistent on putting a "buy-back" clause into the deal, that would totally contradict what you're saying.Man City must have been rubbing their hands with glee when we moved in for him and the fee well they must have pissed themselves laughing!
The speed in which he got the shot away for his first goal was very impressive.
Thank ****, we haven’t got one of thoseHe's a talented striker. If you look at his goals reel, he is a natural finisher. You can't really argue with that.
