I have spoken to the Football League several times

next time you talk to them, bring up the issue of the refs.
When can we have one that is trained and knows the rules, and one who is not a cnut taking charge of a game at the Walkers

It always kicks off against Stoke. :icon_sad:

At least the bastards haven't got a manky car-park full of ammunition (stones and rocks) right outside the ground like they did in '96 in the play-off semi.

I shall reiterate this is the away thread when the details are announced, but anyone who is thinking of travelling by train will be unable to do so.

Engineering works mean the earliest you can arrive into Stoke will be 3.30pm on that Sunday. I have checked all routes, and it's not possible to get there in time for the kick off.

Could try getting the National Express bus to Birmingham (2 options in the morning), then train from there.
What a farcical state our railways are in that we can't even get to Stoke for a 2 pm kick-off.

You could - but it wouldn't get you anywhere. The fact is that there are no trains to Stoke from anywhere at all that day. Planned engineering works mean that you have to get to Stafford and take a replacement bus from there. (From the Derby direction, you can take a train as far as Blythe Bridge and get a replacement bus from there - but then only later in the day). FoxTravel seems to me to be the only viable alternative to driving there.

You talk about "farcical situation" - but at least this closure is part of the programme to get the railways healthy again after the farcical underspending over many years that has allowed them to sink to the uncared for state they are in now.

Judging by how they let the play off semi in 96 get to them I can see the Stoke fans making the Leicester fans a target for some trouble if we stop them getting to the Premiership. Hopefully we will be safe by then after todays result BUT it will be some game if we need to win and Stoke need to win. Do we know how many fans we can take
