We'll be singing non stop for 90 minutes every game no matter who we play or what the score is

if you find that thing annoying then i would like to apologize in advance but i'd also like to ask why you are the 'kop'?

Bloody hell! Expect to upset the locals. Most go for a quiet saturday afternoon out! Its about time something like this was done. Good on ya!

what about half time, real Ultras never stop, not even for half time.

As long as you're not blowing horns I'm all for it. Singing shouldn't be confined to a single corner of the stadium. Atmosphere at the Walkers is (and has been for a while) absolute crap. Bring it on.

Never going to work in an all seater unless the clubs involved IMHO.

The only seated ground with a set of ultras is Palace which is half empty.

The successful groups Accrington, York and aldershot are all positioned in terrace.

I think you're right, but at least someone's trying.

we also arent a bunch of kids
i my self am 22 the other 5 lads organising this are in their early 20's
we have another group of lads who come with us who are 18-22
of course we have a couple lads who are 16-18 and a few older guys and gals in their
40's

If the bunch of kids response was in response to what I said, then I can assure you it wasn't intended to laugh off your efforts - more so a dig at Mr Stringer making you out to be something you are not. If your group mostly consists of the group of guys I think you are (perhaps making a big assumption there) then my wording stands, if you consider that where I am from anyone below 25 is 'a kid'.

Stringy seems to have painted a lovely picture of you and I'd be interested to know whether or not he has retracted his claims?

in the interview i heard with one of the fosse boys after yesterdays game, the chap said that they had run everything by the club, and were aware of what the club found acceptable and what they had a problem with i.e standing during the match.

the chap came across well and was passionate about what they are trying to achieve. good luck to them:038:

we DID NOT try and bring flares into the stadium today
that is a complete lie
if you listen to the radio commentary on bbc iplayer from after the game a member of the fosse boys phones up to complain about us being portrayed as a bunch of idiots who want to take flares to the football

I heard it, it was quite amusing. He makes a real cock of himself, trying to be all stern with the presenters when in fact Radio Leicester hadn't even mentioned flares and didn't have a clue what he was giving out about.

At that level the authorities also give less of a shit....I've been to games where there have been pitch invasions (York away at Heed for one) during the game. Further example being at both Stevenage and Gateshead fans stand in the seating area for the whole game without being asked to sit, its a different world really.

He only made himself look like a cock because Stringer said they tried to bring flares in and then claimed not to have done

He said the group known as the Fosse Boys had attempted to bring flares and flagpoles in but were stopped. He also spent the whole game calling the Sunderland players random names - something my Mackem friends found amusing.

Ran past the club yes but when someone kicks off in SK1 that they can't see cos of a banner, who will the club support?

It would be easy for them to side with the moaner. If there is to be a ultra section, everyone needs to be aware it's there to avoid problems. I have been Oxford for a league game where that works.

I support the idea of encouraging an atmosphere but the ironic shushing in the second half will not win support.

In essence, by just collecting a few lads who want to sing would be a start.

Best be good too.. my new season ticket is in SK1.

we are being given our own section of SK1
so only people who want to get involved with us will be behind us

so we wont be getting in anyones way

Well I bought a season ticket in SK1 on
Saturday. To avoid a situation (I am not against the idea) you'd think the club/to would mention. A football ground is for atmosphere, sadly some don't feel that way. The blocking of view was an example..there will be one nobber with some reason to argue.

Good luck with it, and I hope it works out... but I can see the 'Ultras' not being there after ten games.
