I dont think anybody is going off the idea of Rob Kelly taking over permenently but McCarthy offers another alternative, should for any reason the relationship with Kelly turns sour. Remember that it may be an unrelated football decision that could turn Kelly against taking the job full time.

The events of last week prove that it is not always football reasons that cause relationships to sour.
