Check your spelling. And check your breath.

fitz said:are you always pedantic over spelling? no real need for the new sentances there but i am sure people will let you off. me is a silly boy who thinks that if some monkeys are that bothered about not being allowed to smoke for 2 hours they should think long and hard about their lives and why they bother

Steven said:No spelling fascism please. It is late and I know my fingers and not quite following my brain. :icon_wink The thrust of the point is more important. :icon_razz

Innocent said:You know what mate? I'm 61, I have an international reputation as an agony aunt, writer, and broadcaster, and for the first 8 years of my life my mother had a novel solution if I cried. She swept me under her arm, carried me into the bathroom, and held my head under the cold water tap until I stopped breathing. She thought that solved the issue.
At 26 I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy. It was tracked back to hypoxia - near-drowning accidents - and a brain bleed resulting from them.
Of course I could take anti-depressants (in conjunction with my anti-convulsants) but you know what? I prefer to smoke. I find nicotinic acid really helps and doesn't interfere with my 169 IQ.
Now, silly boy, help me with my oral gratification. I'd love to know your solution. It might really help.
I am holding my breath for your response. I really know how to hold my breath. It kind of saved my life. Such as it is.

Innocent said:Nowt to do with spelling. That wasn't the point. I also have an Irish peasant background. If you want to PM me about your cancer scare I may be able to help. Please.
Boy Genius said:Everybody has problems, thats life. Maybe you should try the nicotine patches then.
Innocent said:You know what? Many times each year I have to go to the US to do the conference circuit. Flights are 9 hours, usually, and then airports in the US don't allow smoking, and it's not a major problem for me. Then usually I can't smoke in public in the US. I manage this perfectly.
What's a problem is people like you, telling people like me, what we can't do. It's the principle.
I can do my own rules, and manage my own life, thank you.
