Shouldn't Swansea be competing in the Welsh Cup anyway? :icon_wink

cardiff bristol off, thats our rearranged game put back until march at least now, if we lose and donc lost probably be this month, but cant see any of us losing today tbh.
Shambles. Fecking amateurs.

That's a very bold statement to make. In 2007 our match with Cardiff was brought forward from 30th January (a Tuesday night) to 27th January (a Saturday afternoon and 4th round day) with only about 8 days notice after Spurs knocked Cardiff out in a 3rd round replay on 17th January. There is nothing to say that the similar couldn't happen this time - the police will already by on stand-by for a game on the 23rd. The same applies to the Doncaster game.

And why do you strike out the whole of February? There are still 2 blank Tuesdays there - and 5th round day could also be used if our opponents that day (Scunthorpe, I think) were still in the cup and both ourselves and either Doncaster or Cardiff are out.

I'm sure those people at the three clubs will be having a more open view than you seem to have about when the games could be played.

Can anyone tell me if it is just 1 ticket per season ticket or can you buy multiple tickets?

The season ticket holder only is entitled to a ticket at the cheaper price. You can buy as many tickets as you want at the higher price because they are now on general sale.

But not quite so shambolic and amateurish as a club who have undersoil heating yet fail to connect it to the power supply, eh?

hope your right, id be happy for it to be asap, but it will be march.

Swansea do compete in the Welsh Cup.

They must have played under a different name last season.

Edit: now I think of it (and have looked it up), they must have been doing that since the mid-90s - there's been no 'Swansea City' in that competition since 1995.

I stand corrected. The six Welsh clubs who play in the English League Pyramid have been excluded from the Welsh Cup since that date.

They were allowed in the FAW Premier Cup though, which existed from 1997 to 2008, when sponsorship was withdrawn. There has been talk recently of a revival if sponsors can be found.

One pre-match thread started, one match won. 100%. Get in. (I'll use these carefully because I don't want to tempt fate)
