Or knows more about managing a football team than the average idiot in the street.

I would hope so, given we're paying him millions of pounds a year but the evidence this season suggests otherwise at the minute...

Is there any point in watching?

Bottled it again.

Although I doubt whether anybody really thinks that this is our strongest side right now, Ranieri has backed himself into a corner.

I've said it before and Shakespeare admitted as much, that following the Southampton defeat the players and staff had a meeting where Ranieri accepted that the players didn't want change and agreed to go back to basics and last seasons players/formation.

Since then, with the understandable exception of Wednesday night, he's picked at least nine out of ten of the available team from last year and they've played the same formation.

Today, he's done it again. But he's either got to allow several of these players to find some form and get some results or dump them (probably for good).

I think Ranieri is well aware that he's taking a huge gamble in deliberately selecting a less effective group match after match. I wouldn't describe this as him 'bottling it'. It's actually very brave. Time will tell whether it's also very foolish.

We need to keep Sigurdsson quiet above all. I don't trust our defence for shit but am feeling more optimistic about this game after the Derby win and with some of the news coming out of the club about talks with Vardy, Mahrez etc etc.. hopefully not just another false dawn.

Ludicrous. As a supporter of Ranieri and someone who thinks he should stay, even I am totally dismayed by this selection. I don't care whether or not he 'believes' in it, it's patently obvious that the defence is shambolic at best and just plain fraudulent at worst, yet he persists with the same old rubbish. Okay, options up front are few and faw between but selecting that back four is tantamount to giving the opposition a 2 goal lead before kick off.

How depressingly predictable this game will be now. Who on earth would blame Chilwell for wanting to force a move as soon as possible?

Very brave indeed. Perhaps they will repay him... though I doubt it.

I probably shouldn't admit it, but I'm
hoping that some of our players get injured, to force the manager to make changes. Not serious injuries, just so they're out for long enough to give their replacements a chance.

I've been hoping for the same thing for many weeks now.

It would be stupid to replace both center halves no matter how poor the other two have been. Benny or Amarty for Morgan would have been nice but considering they both played 120 minutes on Tuesday was always unlikely after Benny not playing all season and Amartey just back from AFCON.

Chilwell for Fuchs I don't understand unless he's trying not to throw him in too deep, I feel that's what ****ed Moore up. The rest isn't bad.

Moore was ****ed up because he was dropped instead of Morgan then never played again and dumped by Pearson

Watch that season back. Most of the mistakes Morgan made were because he was covering for Moore. Moore was expected to do too much too soon.

We don't know what has been discussed or agreed since last week. What we do know is that the owners have backed Claudio and they have come here in the week and met with the players and staff. We also know that Claudio has had meetings with players, and we know that Huth, Morgan, and Fuchs have had a torrid week. A lot have called them out.

This I feel is D day for them. If they cannot deliver now in the face of what has happened this week, Claudio will know what he must do. I'm not going to judge until I see.

This back 5 (GK included) won this division last year. They have to find an answer. It wasn't all Kante. He wasn't there when the run started. I rate N'didi.

Let's see if it really is over for this band of brothers.

The little bit of enthusiasm I had for this game has departed on seeing the lineup.

I'm disappointed by that line up but can understand it given that many of the players I'd play spent 120 minutes running about in midweek. I have very little confidence in this line up to get anything today. I hope they prove me wrong. If not then surely it has to be the time to make changes to the team.
