From my own point of view, opening a thread on a topic I am interested in to read the only new posts being about a spelling mistake in a previous post is a complete waste of my time and is rather frustrating.

This is very frustrating, as are long strings of posts arguing whether the thread or a post should have been posted in the first place, but i guess it is part of the fabric of the place, has been since i'v been here. Although the posts aren't as witty as they once were.

I think this is precisely the reason why we have several threads on the same subjects.

There was a time that when off topic conversations continued they got split into their own thread by the moderators, that system worked for me.

I hate it when people follow up sentences or statements with this moronic little phrase that apparently means 'my opinion is the only one that counts so everyone else stop talking'. Horrible ****ing arrogant ****ish phrase and everyone who uses it in even a semi-serious way is an utter ****wit and needs killing dead.
