Levein was supposed to be for the long-haul. And look at how uncharismatic, clueless and devoid of any awareness of how bad he was. Allen has been a breath of fresh air and has brought something completely new and different to the club. I welcome him to the club with open arms and am quite happy for him to do what he's been doing at the club in recent weeks. It beats the dross and of Taylor, Levein and Kelly anyday, who in comparison, were as boring as watching paint dry compared to Allen.

I remember MA saying about the club shop, accounts & ticket office, but I don't remember him saying the toilets. Did read that on a message board post afterwards.... is that where the Sun & co got it from?

I'm pretty sure he said it because he also said "I'd clean the toilets".. But I'm prepared to accept I might be mistaken..

Well we have never had a manager who is so desparate for publicity in close season.

He - like everyone else - knows that when the season starts results are all that matters.

To the joy of many no doubt I'll shut up now until the season starts and we can comment on something real for a change. That doesn't mean i expect Allen to fail - if anything I'm more optimistic than for three or four seasons.
 
If these puns carry on, I'm going to have to lock myself away in an Armitage.
