I was in Arazona recently and didn't see a single snake... how dissapointing having just read this thread.

We had a bit of a confrontational moment with a snake in Florida last year. It had had a wap by some glass doors, we think it was trying to attack it's reflection. It realised we were there, and stared at us before making a sharp exit - I have that effect on people as well. :icon_sad:

No.
Nobody uses 'wap' as a derogatory term for Italians.

If he'd have quoted somebody using the term 'wop' though, he'd probably have got an infraction.

3 Weeks today i'll be in Tucson dodging those pesky critters. I can't stand snakes or scorpions and the GF wants to take me out hiking, yikes!

I didn't report back from my California boat trip a month or so ago. I'm sure you'll all be delighted to see this lot..... :icon_roll





Two different species of Albatross, Black-footed and Laysan, which is what I wanted to see most of all.

Humpback Whale, Risso's Dolphin, Long-beaked Common Dolphin, plus other cetaceans.

California Sea Lions, and California Sea Otters, which are undeniably the cutest things EVER!

All in all it was absolutely superb. Next time you find yourself in Monterey Bay, California, in summer or autumn, get out there on a boat!
