There was always the option of a season long loan deal, thus giving Porter a further years development in the hope that in 12 months either Porter would be able to step up or a decent option had become available in the transfer market.

Saturday happened and then I found out we are trying anybody and everybody out as a winger, who's turn is it on saturday to play left wing ..... no doubt Big Rab. Feckin shocking what exactly has the manager been doing during pre season ??? I would have thought that was the time for experiments. Six weeks to work on personnel, formations and tactics and after one game we seem to be trying desperate measures to cover gaping holes in the squad that have been evident for nigh on 12 months.

That's the thing i always think, they've had these number of weeks to prepare and they come out playing like they've never met and the manager trying things that seem so amateurish.
