4-4-2 has clearly not worked for us so IMO we may as well throw caution to the wind and really go for it my team would be :
Hendo
McAuley (Stearman if not fit)
Kisnorbo
Johansson
Newton
Weso
Johnson
Mattock
Hume
Horsfield
Fryatt
Subs
Stearman
Hughes
Porter
Cadamarteri
Hammond
How any one wants Horsefield to start is beyond me, the bloke is useless.
On tues, he came on put in 10 minutes graft and then had to stand out on the right wing for 5 minutest to get his breath back!!
I agree that our current flowing football isn't best suited for Fryatt but at least he can make something out of nothing, which is all we've got going for us in the final third at the moment.

Maybe because he provided more in that ten minutes in the way of holding the ball, linking play and putting defenders under pressure (and winning free kicks) than Fryatt did for the 65 minutes that he was on the pitch
I don't agree at all, but there you go.
1st Half Fryatt looked our only threat, that didn't change when Horsefield came on. I find it hard to see how he put more pressure on their defenders when all he can do is grab them and wrestle with them unless that is your idea of pressure. Most centre halves prefer a trial of strength to a bit of movement and skill.
Chasing the game and lumping balls up hopefully for the last 20 minutes is different to doing it all game, and even if we did Horsefield isn't fit enough to do it.
We never get anything at Preston, we need to this Saturday. God I hate this...
I know Preston are in the top six. I know they are better than us. I know we never get anything there. I know we've not won for 10 games. I know we're generally playing utterly shite. I know we're conceeding a couple a game and can't score more than one. But . . .
I expect us to win on Saturday. Maybe it's cuckoo talk but I just can't believe that this can go on any longer. Sometime soon we're going to get a lucky penalty, an opposition player sent off, an o.g. for us, a lucky deflection or two, one of our players is going to score a cracking goal out of nowhere, etc, etc.
