Same here. Does Bruno Brookes still do that show on the wireless?I can't remember the last time I knew what was number one.
Bring back the hairy cornflake
Music was proper then
The missus listens to that there Radio 1. What a load of shite. Lewis Capaldi? ****s all that about then?
Yep, can’t think of a better way of putting it than that. That ****ing ‘it isn’t in my blood’ song. It makes me grit my teeth, it sounds horrible.Argh. It's the trend to sign a tune in a stupid voice as if you're straining for a massive dry shite.
How does it sound terrible, if the tune is being signed?Yep, can’t think of a better way of putting it than that. That ****ing ‘it isn’t in my blood’ song. It makes me grit my teeth, it sounds horrible.

We listen to Radio 6 in our office, mostly because of the variety that’s on it. I don’t like everything they play, but I find myself hearing lots of stuff I don’t know but ultimately like.I remember when we had a music style revolution every 13 years, or something like that.
The current 'pop music' style with the dreadful plastic autotune has been going on for decades seemingly. I think pop music is actually dead.
I have the opinion that pop music began dying in the 1990s when more and more radio stations (in the UK) started playing one type of music. It sounds a great idea, you don't have to listen to stuff you don't like, but for music to develop and progres you HAVE to listen to a wide spectrum. There are people in their 20s that listen to the radio that don't know that many music styles exist.
British pop radio killed pop music.

Good call, BN
I’m going to take my tape player into work with me on Monday
Got loads of C60s with my fave tunes on it that I taped off the chart run down on a Sunday afternoon
Because I want to listen to new stuff sometimes? It’s good to be “challenged”, occasionally. Why the feck would anyone listen to music on the radio in this day and age?
Put a playlist on in your office for fecks sake. Then you can listen to whatever you want. You lot live in the dark ages.
