To be absolutely pedantic he was on loan at Sheff U, so they didn't release him as such. He hated their style of play anyway ( so my sources tell me ). Looks like he's off to join Gordon Strachan at 'Boro. God help him.

Sky Sports News being lazy again, definately listed him as one of their released players. I thought he was on loan as well because I did a Footy Manager season as Sheffield United and he was AWESOME, I had to splash out £3million to get him on a permanent deal at the end of the year!

........and he's relatively young, has played in a team that has had a cracking season, and we won't have to pay a fee for him. Pearson Out!
