I think that killed it for her, I still thought she stood a chance until then. I really wanted Jim to win, just for the hilarity of it as he was such a bullshitter.

I had previously assumed that their business plans had to have been approved by Sugar's gang as part of the selection process prior to them taking part.

That would have made business sense but not good entertainment. Suralan had obviously taken a shine to Tom many episodes back as he was a bag of wank at most of the tasks but remained in the show. Anyhoo, Helen seems to have done quite well out of the whole process as she is in line for a nice little promotion when she returns to work.
