We are being mugged off here, absolutely no way is he worth 5+ million.
So we get held to ransom and pay over the odds for players because we have a bit of dosh?
Seems an utterly irresponsible thing to do, and I'm quite confident NP wont be going down that route.
Nigel Pearson is interested in bringing former Leicester City striker Matty Fryatt back to the club.
City are understood to be one of six teams interested in signing the Hull front man on a free transfer when his current deal at the KC Stadium runs out in a couple of weeks.
Fellow promoted side Burnley have also made inquiries while Championship sides Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Wigan and Brighton are also said to be interested.
The striker has yet to agree terms on a contract extension after an initial offer last week fell short of the striker’s expectations, although it is believed Fryatt’s preference would be to sign a new deal with the Tigers.
However, he is a player Pearson knows exceptionally well, having managed Fryatt in his first term at the King Power Stadium before signing him for £1.2million in January 2011 once in charge at Hull.
Fryatt was Hull’s leading scorer last term with six goals in 16 appearances in all competitions, ahead of major signings Nikica Jelavic and Shane Long.
Totally disagree. We're a wealthy club that can afford to back our manager in getting his first choice targets wherever possible. I know very little about the merits of Ulloa, but if NP wants him, then we keep on at Brighton until we get him. The only reason we should back off is if we know Ulloa doesn't want to join us.
So we get held to ransom and pay over the odds for players because we have a bit of dosh?
Seems an utterly irresponsible thing to do, and I'm quite confident NP wont be going down that route.
Well...eeerrr. .. Wot?
He didn't get many assists last season so it does beg the question
why are we signing a player who bagged less goals in the League than both of our main strikers
So we get held to ransom and pay over the odds for players because we have a bit of dosh? Seems an utterly irresponsible thing to do, and I'm quite confident NP wont be going down that route.
I find this an incredibly strange statement... Look at Lambert, an international striker, going to Liverpool for 4 million plus add ons. Yet you think we should be forking out 5+ million for a player that's never played PL football? I don't understand your point at all. Yes by all means pay good money to get a player that has quality, but they've got to be the right player at the right price. Ulloa at 5+ million isn't the man.
Well...
This:
And this:
Anything more than £3m for Ulloa and we deserve to go down as one of those teams who wastes money just as they are in the Premier League.
If Ulloa was based in Argentina and had a YouTube video or two, people would be creaming themselves at the prospect of paying £5m+. Just because he's a Brighton player, it's a totally different reaction.
Can I just clarify, I have never 'creamed' myself over a you tube clip.
Not since Hossein Kaebi.
Crikey, I never knew some of this stuff was possible....You wanna try youporn, that's where you're going wrong.

I really shouldn't wank in public libraries. The lady on the desk is having a fit.Disgusting
VERY GOOD POINT.
That's an awful point. I don't think we'd be happy with a £5m signing from the Argentinian Leagues had he scored 14/33 there. The fact that we probably would've known very little about the player gives us a sense of excitement and hope that he might be very good - good enough to warrant his price tag.
As it happens, we know about him, his style of play and goal scoring prowess after seeing him this past year. And based on that. He's nowhere near the £5m vale. I'd rather spend a silly amount on Cardozo for example! Maybe a bit older but he's done the Bizzo at the highest levels. Then again, in NP we trust.
So we get held to ransom and pay over the odds for players because we have a bit of dosh?
Seems an utterly irresponsible thing to do, and I'm quite confident NP wont be going down that route.
