We are SO soft.

Softer than nice teams like Fulham and Brentford.

Softer than plastic teams like Bournemouth, Wolves and Newcastle.

Softer than Southampton for ****s sake.

Softer than our relegation rivals like Everton, Forest and Leeds.

We’re ****ing gone. Finished. Done.

The (few) good players know they’re leaving at the end of the season. The average players are earning a fortune and therefore think that they’re decent, we have a pretend keeper and the shit is shit.

Away Games: Brentford, C Palace, Man City, Leeds, Fulham, Newcastle
Home Games: Aston Villa, Bournemouth, Everton, Liverpool, West Ham

Cannot see anymore that 4pts from away games & 12 pts from home = 16

Is that enough?

That will be more than enough. But will we get it?

16 would be easily enough - but would be a huge improvement in form to win 4 of the 5 remaining home games.

I think considering the number of teams down there, 12 points would probably be enough. Especially if they come from teams around us. 5 of those teams are within 3 points of us above or below. Some big games to play...

I can only see a maximum 4 points from those away games, and 7 from the home games.

And that’s me being extremely optimistic.

We’re ****ed.

We've won three at home all season and look about as likely to win again as Gary Lineker becoming Conservative party chairman

As we are playing now and me being optimistic:

Home: Possible 4-6 points, Palace and Leeds
Away: Possible 4-6 points, Villa and Bournemouth

Even with my blue-tinted specs on I can't muster 12 points.

Even if we do survive, this twat has to go. I have never been less enthusiastic or excited watching us plod through game after game replicating the same shit.

No way in hell do we get 16 points more points out of this season with Rodgers. No way.

It's madness.

10 maximum - and that's generous.

10 could be enough though - I don't think any of those other teams around us look like suddenly having a huge change in form either.

It will all come down to the various "six pointers" left to play between the teams down there, IMO.

2 six pointers and we've got that 12 points

Everyone says this every year, and it's more often more than 39 points that's needed.

2014/1517th – Aston Villa 38 pts18th – Hull City 35 pts
2015/1617th – Sunderland 39 pts18th – Newcastle United 37 pts
2016/1717th – Watford 40 pts18th – Hull City 34 pts
2017/1817th – Southampton 36 pts18th – Swansea City 33 pts
2018/1917th – Brighton 36 pts18th – Cardiff City 34 pts
2019/2017th – Aston Villa 35 pts18th – Bournemouth 34 pts
2020/2117th – Burnley 39 pts18th – Fulham 28 pts

Did you mean to say it's not often that more than 39 points is needed? Because only 3 of those 7 seasons did the team have 39 points or more - but the average needed to stay up across those seasons would've been 34/35.

So 10 more points is probably enough this season

in all the other seasons, there has been one or even 2 teams already dead and buried, can't recall anything like this season

If it's us v West Ham on final day for the drop...I'd bet heavily on the 'ammers.

We don't just need X amount of points, we need them before the last 3 matches in my opinion. Given he's a quivering bottle merchant and all that.
