TV On The Radio is by far the best album on there, going to see them tomorrow. Sufjan Steven's album is just out takes and re works of his awesome Illinoise from last year. A good album, but not an album of the year.

I want to get that...I wanted to go to one of their gigs but 3 dates denied me.

Sufjan Stevens is aiming to do an album for every American state, hes a very talented bloke and this xmas, he's releasing a christmas songs album.

But at the rate he's going it'll take him about 200 years.

He's only done Michigan and Illinois so far...

He's one of the best songwriters in the world today IMO

Music Journos dissapearing up thier own arses listing obscure stuff for the sake of it IMO...and yeah I know I'm a fine one to talk :102:For the record I have just 2 of them,Thom Yorke and Muse.

:018: I strongly disagree!!! It's hardly obscure at all. A nice mixture of varying mainstreamness (I doubt that's a real word) which is the way it should be, if something has sold millions of records it doesn't make any better than something tah has sold a couplw of thousands of records.

Most of those albums are pretty popular, and I'm surpised your not a Flaming Lips fan anyway HF.

Neil Young, Gnarlz Barkley, tiny underground pretentious wankers, no one has heard of??

I said Dyland and Young are both now popular artists who record for big massive labels because they know the money will coming in quick then you can say 'Bob Monkhouse'.
Did you, I was respondining to Mikey who said they were mainstream, sarcastically of course

I'd say all these have had national press and they are openly available from Virgin's Top 40.
