Not sure whether our current more or less dependency on Vardy's goals is a good or a bad thing. I am sure that it is time limited. Maybe a couple of seasons left.......but this running out of time process usually happens bit quicker than we expect.
 
Vardy leaving would be a nightmare.

Yeah he'll get older and eventually lose his pace... but who's to say that's any time soon?
Could we replace Vardy with someone nearly as good? Highly doubtful - especially when you look at our recent signing history.

Yes at some point we'll have to move on and adapt without him. But why would anyone accept selling him and doing that before we have to?

Nearly all teams go through a period of reliance on one or two key players. What usually happens is as the players get older or move on there are replacements waiting in the wings to take over. If this isn't the casenit can cause major issues. Just look at Everton Losing Lukaku - They've had enough time to address it at least through a combination of things but we wouldn't at this stage. Evidence suggests that we don't have a ready made substitute and to replace Vardy with someone of his quality and goal scoring prowess would cost tens of millions of pounds; that is of course, if we could find someone.

Of course, in the long term, we would carry on if he left but in the short term it would be awful. We rely on him because he delivers the goods like no one else we have. Selling Vardy now would be pulling the rug from under Puel's feet.

They'd accept it because he is so woefully underrated. It'd be the same crowd who were so desperate for us to get rid of Mahrez last season.
 
If I was drawing up a list of potential forwards it would definitely be those three. Someone who has a boner for Pep, someone who likes to play quickly and probably wouldn't fit in, someone who has totally flopped at Wet Spam.

This is made up nonsense.

Who are these people? Nobody has said we should sell Vardy, not one single person.

I have simply argued that we would carry on and continue to play football rather than simply implode and suffer a disaster.

No.1. Why on earth have you taken what I have written so personally? When did I mention you by name? I think you need to calm yourself down a little and relax.

No.2. Where did I say anyone had said we should sell Vardy? I said some people would accept it because he is underrated and by many he is. Once again, jump down off that massive high horse and stop being such a snowflake about everything.

Our transfers saga is a strange and sad tale. The Leicester Mercury is on the one hand completely obsequious to the club with daily tales of the trite and blindingly obvious but mixed up with recurring rehashed speculation about any Leicester player in whom any other club could possibly be interested not to mention garbage about those players who have been signed for crazy money and on crazy wages in about whom no club with half a brain could possibly consider taking off our hands without making Leicester City look very silly. Doesn't feel like anything good is round the corner in this window. In summary we have several valuable players who we know or suspect want out and several transfer disasters and deadwood who we can't shift.

Okay Mr Pot. I'm certainly aware of my colour but thanks for the input. Now you can get on with posting vitriolic rubbish about things which don't concern you.

Maybe if you were in any way affable or thoughtful in anything you write then it would be worth me considering your opinion. As it is, I'll give it a miss thanks. Scornfully patronising enough for you or should I throw in a bucket load of obscenities to help you on your way to understanding?
