Totally agree.
Too old to be one for the future* and too young/inexperienced to be able to slot straight into the first team squad. So what's the point of him?
We've signed a few of these and haven't heard a thing since - Jacob Blyth, Raul Uche, Liandro Martis, Josh Gordon anyone?
*I'm assuming he is 22 and not 27 - he was born in Mali and seems to have joined a French team aged 9 - presumably because he was so big and fast and developed for his age . . .

Like BM, I'm pretty pleased to see us getting replacements in before shipping people out for a change so I'm pretty happy with it. I know bollocks all about the lad and I'm sure that's the case for most of us so it's impossible to tell whether it is a bizarre signing or an ingenious one. Having said all of that, hope tells me it's the latter, experience tells me it's more likely to be the former though!

Indeed. 3 goals, 1 assist in the French second division is nowhere close to earning a move to a premier league team.
This can't be a footballing decision unless we are planing for life in League 2.
I really hope someone at the club has seen something in him that nobody else has seen, and I hope it's something to do with playing football because, on the face of it, it looks a punt of the highest order. The guy has been booted out of one club (for reasons unknown and, to be fair, disputed by him) and since signed on frees. He's hardly blazed a trail. Maybe insider knowledge (Puel's son's at Ajaccio I think) has flagged him up.

Guaranteed to be better value for money than Nacho, Musa, Mendy.......hopefully will be capable of kicking a ball without injuring his toe.
I'm not one condemning him, far from it, I haven't even seen him play (youtube clips of him are not plentiful!) Obviously I hope he's a gem and we've come up trumps again. I know nothing about his abilities and so am open minded on that.
I'm commenting only on the fact that the info that's out there on him doesn't suggest anything exciting (at least Mahrez divided opinion at Le Havre!) and we apparently have a surfeit of strikers and are not giving them game time. On the face of it, it doesn't make a great deal of sense to me - unless, as I said earlier, we're planning to send him out on loan.

E.N. Acho strikes me as a bit of a Raheem Sterling type. Thinks he's the bollocks & just has to cruise around. Maybe thinks he's too good to be here? Sterling turned it around so maybe he can to? Although admittedly we don't have the advantages Guardiola had. I don't claim to know anything about Pep's methods but I'd guess he told Sterling something like:
"Look here you half-arsed ****, buck up & perform else I'll dump you harder than last night's curry.£50m is piss all to this club so don't think I'm bluffing. Measure up or you're on your way to ****ing Stoke you arrogant little wanker"
Not sure what ammunition Claude has to rival that but hopefully something.
