Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded autumn/winter 2019/20 rumours thread.

The best players don't move in January, and that's what we're looking to buy (and occasionally sell)

Ndidi did

And Huth

And Tielemans (on loan)

And Mahrez..

Huth was an over-the-hill and unfashionable centre-half, who just happened to be the definition of perfect for what we needed. Tielemans had seriously lost his way. Ndidi was at the top end of being a prospect rather than the finished article. I'm not sure that any of those three have the profile or are at the point of their careers that we seem to be looking for, especially in the most urgently needed position on the wing. Mahrez may be an exception to the rule but we neither seem to be engaging in, or the victim of, the sustained campaign that the mancs put on to get their man.

Leicester City have been linked with a move for RB Salzburg striker Hwang Hee-chang.

The Athletic claim Brendan Rodgers and his recruitment staff are eyeing a move for the South Korea international.

Though, they join a host of Premier League clubs including Brighton, Everton and Wolves.

Hee-chan Hwang, who is currently valued at £27m, has scored six times in 14 league appearances this season, scoring another three in six outings in the Champions League.

That form has seen a number of Premier League clubs become interested, and City are said to be one of those clubs.

Though, the report does go on to say any move isn't likely to be this month.

The Foxes are more likely to make a move in the summer when they may look to reinforce their attacking options.

Brendan Rodgers currently has the Premier League's leading scorer Jamie Vardy and an in-form Kelechi Iheanacho as out-and-out striking options.

Iheanacho has scored six goals in nine appearances this season, and that looks to be enough to ensure Rodgers is pleased with his options heading into the back-end of the season.

Slazburg have already lost two key men in Takumi Minamino and Erling Haaland this month.

They are likely to do everything in their power to hold on to Hwang Hee-chan, at least until the summer.
Is this the same team sat at the top of the Bundesliga? no way will they sell him in January.

the Austrian Bundesliga is a different prospect they pretty much dominate it and the article says it would be a summer move.

It'll be the usual domino effect, someone will finally sign a player and then almost immediately sell someone else then there will be a brief flurry

Good and underrated player, but a trade down from Chilwell - especially at 30. If the LB in the academy (whose name I've forgotten) is up to the hype he could be just the stopgap though
