Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded spring/summer 2019 rumours thread.

Wasn’t so long ago we were fighting off suitors. He doesn’t have end product, but I have not written him off yet. On his day he can cause problems.

It's because you used a Twitter shortened url, rather than the actual url of the page. If you'd gone to the page you were linking to, then copied the url from your browser, that would have worked.

the lad has talent but I question his desire to be the best in his position, too much too soon I recall he was stating in the media that more young English players need more game time, he was given plenty.

I must stress that the majority was under Puel I would still move him on though.

He is 22. How old was Mahrez when his potential really became apparent. We got him for a snip. It is too soon to write off Gray. Rodgers could yet uncover a diamond in the rough.

I still think Gray can come good, despite being ridiculously frustrating.

I think he has all the talent and technical ability to be a good player for us. His decision making is just utterly woeful. But that is coachable...

Not saying I would be bothered if he left, but he'd get a Prem club for sure.

I think so too... and he may well prove to be an asset for them.

That is what many thought about Theo Walcott too, it has never really happened for him either.

Not sure I agree with that. Walcott has never really had the same skill level. He's just pace. But for a winger, I would say his technical ability is pretty low. He struggles to beat his full back other than with pace.

Gray has the skill to take people on and go past them. Walcott has always just hoped he can beat someone in a race.

Really? 13 years in the Premier League, most of which in a top four team (albeit winning **** all), Europe every year, 47 England caps? You think that just happens to any old sprinter? Have a word.

Walcott is ten times the player that Gray will ever be.

The key thing with Gray is to sell whilst we can still pull the wool over the eyes of chasing clubs.

He's one of these fake assets because he's English and plays for the u21.

Dele Alli is the ultimate of the young English bull shitters.

Who on earth is going to take: Jakupovic, Amartey, Moore, Elder, King, James, Mendy, Silva, Kapustka, Ghezzal, Diabate, Gray Slimani and Thomas.

Apropos nothing much at all, here's a rough list of the players who were probably on TB's naughty step at the time of their departure, but whom clubs were found to take on, sometimes with a fee paid, though I always wonder if with some of them we were still paying their wages after they have left us.

Probably harsh to say some (Nuge, Wood etc) were unwanted, and ignoring those released or sacked, it's our leavers list for our current Premier League stay.

Moore, De Laet, Banalouane, Schlupp, Inler, Kramaric, Ulloa, Lawrence, Nugent, Wood, Zieler, Hernandez, Musa, Iborra.

So over our five seasons in the Prem we get rid of around three such players a season, and I expect this to be about the number from the current fringe players leaving this summer.
