Madison is exciting. I've a mate who's a Norwich fan and he reckons he's destined for the very top. Great skill, a strong understanding of reading the game, goals and assists in him, hard-working and driven. I know that he and Mahrez tend to play in different positions but whether we get our creativity from a winger cutting in from the left/right or a number 10 behind the striker, it doesn't bother me - as long as have someone to create.
We do need a new winger though. No doubt the press will label him as a "Mahrez replacement" but he may be an alternative option for the wing who plays differently to Riyad but slots into that position well.
We'll be changing the way we play this season so it's possible we need more central players who have the ability and pace to be out wide when needed and play with two fast wing backs who can get the ball into the box so perhaps we don't need an out-and-out winger.
Personally, I think With the creativity Madison will give, plus the emergence of Diabate, we're gonna do very well if the players get the manager's football concepts. Diabate has tonnes of skill, flair and creativity - a lot more dangerous than someone like Gray IMO. Plus he looks to me the more hungry player with more to prove.
Get rid of (realistically):
Ulloa, Slimani, King, James, Kapustka, Mendy, Benny
Get in:
CB, LB, striker, creative + pacy winger
Try to also see what young talent we have coming through the academy such as Choudhury, Barnes, Thomas and bring them into the first team...
