True but how much would it cost to replace Fofana with someone of close to the same quality? If there is someone that good available for a decent price I'm sure Chelsea et al would have already bought them.

As for Coady, he's not a bad player at all but he is also a leader which is what we're sorely missing.

We bought our house for £180k, just sold it for £230k, so once we’ve paid solicitors and fees we’re only going to have about £40k to spend on a new house! Makes me wonder why we’re bothering.

Depends whether you have a mortgage, but your profit margin would still be that 40-50k. I think in a clumsy way that is what he seems to be saying. It isn’t pure profit. It does neglect that we will have our initial outlay back to spend again on potentially half the Southampton squad
