Vestergaard has played every league game so far. Enzo has praised his ability to play the system. The player talked about joining another team in a top 5 league.... nothing about that suggests that he will leave to join a team in Belgium.

Thank you very much. Here's another opinion.

I think that EM is just copying Pep again with his apparently random favouring of players.

At Man City, Laporte goes from their best central defender to discarded. Same with Cancelo and Walker disappeared as out of favour for a while last year. Foden is playing great and then doesn't play for two months. And so on.

It's a way of setting standards (a good thing) and letting everyone know who's boss (can be a good thing). Players will be picked on and shown up as examples for the wider group.

We've already seen elements of it with Marcal and McAteer being dropped after excelling and the two sub keepers thing. It's mind games and showing them all that he's got the biggest pair of bollocks.

I don't think EM gives a shiny shite about Vestergaard. If he has eyes and any kind of footballing brain, he knows full well that he's an accident waiting to happen. It's about sending messages and establishing expectations and I'm fine with that.

If I'm wrong and he does actually rate Vestergaard, then he is a total moron and fully deserves the criticism that will inevitably follow when his man costs us.
