He's been offered around to every PL club for about a year by his agents and there haven't been any takers before us. It feels like the sort of deal you do when you can't get the player you want (Gonzalez).

Where Kristiansen and Souttar seem like City going back to the model that worked so well for a few years, Tete is a punt.

He might turn out to be a great player. He definitely has a touch of the Mahrez about him. But then so did Diabete and Under and Ghezzal . . .
