The hysterically annoying and totally unfounded, but traditional, January 2025 rumours thread.

Hopefully that fee isn't all guranteed.

I know Transfermarkt isn't gospel but considering his contract was running out in the summer, they reckon he's worth EUR 2m.

Somebody somewhere on Twitex says Faes is off.

Dunno how I'd feel about that in truth. He's shite when he's shite (which is a bit too often for my liking, plus he blames other, which is a trait I don't like) but he does have his moments. He can put his body on the line, make those tackles.

So I guess it's kinda like a 'I know he's shit but he's our shit' feeling .

Worth it if we can get a reasonable fee.

Scores a worldy and then there are transfer rumours.... sounds like his agent is busy

So his grandad probably drank some Guinness 100 years ago. For the “greatest country on earth” they sure are desperate to pretend to be something else all the ****ing time. Hyphenated twats.
This.

I've met enough of them to know that it's all bollocks. Irish-American, Italian-American even African-American. All just American. Same worldview, same narrow range of opinions, same near total ignorance of anything that happens anywhere else.
I lost hope for good in the late 90s when a bunch of college educated professionals at a dinner in Boston told me that they weren't hopeful for the Clinton presidency due to his " socialist policies "

Jesus ****ing Christ.

Strangely none of this prevented me from falling in love with one years earlier. Love is blind so they say. Still, she was a rather unusual American who actually travelled & spent years here & elsewhere in europe so maybe that had summat to do with it.

There are very few players at the club at the moment that I hold any affinity to, so to me he is a bit “meh”

Wout Faes to leave Leicester City this summer!

This is a Sky CH exclusive: Leicester City and Wout Faes will part ways at the end of the 2024/2025 season. Currently second from bottom in the Premier League, the Foxes are going through a particularly difficult period and this sporting instability has a direct impact on the club's financial results. In the event of relegation, a massive layoff of the team's executives will be implemented. What's more, financial necessity is already pushing the English leaders to anticipate the disaster and therefore to establish the first discussions with the players likely to be sold, a list which includes... Wout Faes.

Under contract until June 2027, the defender has reached an agreement with Leicester City to facilitate his departure in the event of an interesting offer. An exit voucher granted which inevitably arouses the interest of several Italian and German clubs… Enjoying a real popularity rating internationally, the Belgian is targeted by Lazio Roma for next summer, who would consider the arrival of the Mol native in the Italian capital as a real market opportunity if the Foxes' relegation to the Championship were to be confirmed.

If we follow this scenario linked to the possible relegation of the English club, Wout Faes could then leave the Premier League at half the price of his market value, that is to say twenty million euros according to the evaluation of the reference site Transfermarkt. An attractive price of around ten million euros that could attract other clubs than the Laziali, already in pole position in this case...

So, will Wout Faes choose Lazio to give his career a new boost or will he prefer a championship like the Bundesliga where mobile defenders enjoy more space in the animation of their game in order to develop attacking football?

I'd feel very good if Faes fecked off. He's been wanting out for the last three windows and he's only here because nobody is stupid enough to want him. Shameful that someone so fundamentally incapable of defending has made over 100 appearances for us.

Choudhury going would be excellent too. He's been hanging about like a bad smell for at least five years too long.

In fact, I'd be in favour of 90% of the current lot being sold if we can find a buyer. There is so much shite in our squad. I'd rather roll the dice than watch the same players make the same mistakes over and over.
