The hysterically annoying and totally unfounded, but traditional, January 2025 rumours thread.

Yep, let's get rid....

Faes, Choudhury, Cannon, Daka, Ward, Iversen, Okoli can all go as a minimum. Of course, that's complete fantasy.

Hopefully this is a sign that Ruud knows that we need to make big changes.

I'd feel very good if Faes fecked off. He's been wanting out for the last three windows and he's only here because nobody is stupid enough to want him. Shameful that someone so fundamentally incapable of defending has made over 100 appearances for us.

Choudhury going would be excellent too. He's been hanging about like a bad smell for at least five years too long.

In fact, I'd be in favour of 90% of the current lot being sold if we can find a buyer. There is so much shite in our squad. I'd rather roll the dice than watch the same players make the same mistakes over and over.

I’d normally agree, but our incoming business of late has been complete and utter shite

We do not want another ****ing De Cordova Reid, Okoli, Skipp or ****ing Édouard

Do you think we stay up with what we have?

If not, we have nothing to lose by rolling the dice.

Not without support, no way

Just worried we’ll be saddled with another sack of shit for the next three years - we’re already lumbered with Skipp, Okoli and Bobby Shitpants

I get that but most of our summer business was heavily influenced by Cooper asking for PL experience.

I doubt that RvN feels that way.

Our recruitment team had a totally different set of targets before Cooper came in.

I'm not sold on him at all. I'd cash in, especially if we can get a profit.
Not sold on him?

We've barely seen him! & when we have he's done just fine.

We send him on loan & he scores 9 in 22 at the level we'll most likely be playing at next season. On top of that he's scored at that rate for a team sitting 19th in the division.

We already have him, he's a proven commodity as of this minute & despite having not played a single minute at Prem level for us, therefore having had no chance whatever of proving himself, you're writing him off in favour of trusting the club, who haven't signed a decent striker in over a ****ing decade, to get someone better.

Are you really Brendan Rodgers?

**** me I'm glad you were never my line manager.

We won't have Vardy to bail us out next time. Give the lad a ****ing chance.

4 were in one game against a horrendous Portsmouth defence. 4 of which were penalties.

From what I have seen of him at Stoke, he doesn't overly impress me.

As for being your line manager, I presume you aren't in a multi billion pound business with such high stakes. All of the players know that they can be moved on at any point. It's part of the game.

How many goals did Daka and Nacho manage last season at that level? I’d need to look it up, but I don’t think either managed 9 by the halfway point of the season or at all.

Last season in the league Daka scored one goal every 155 minutes.
This season in the league Cannon has scored one every 206 minutes.
Daka missed more chances though, performing below xG.

Daka's assist stats are much better than Cannon's.

For the first half of the season?

Daka's goals per minute ratio for the first half of the season was much better than Cannon's has been. He only played 7 games in the first half of the season though, and only a minute in one of those, scoring 4 goals. He missed a lot of time in the first half of the season due to AFCON. He also scored 6 goals for Zambia in that time.
