Not sure if this has been posted before and it's not the right thread to post this in but is anyone else surprised by this?

perhaps we should put your post at the start of a James Maddison appreciation thread!
I've been critical of Maddison during his time here but he's been outstanding now for almost a year. He's seemingly finally matured as a player and got the consistency that was lacking previously.
To be honest, he's carried the side more often than not. It's why it's bizarre when supposed good managers such as Cooper utterly fail to take him seriously.
Agree -he is entertaining because he is skilful and looks to get the side moving forward. As BN said, his performances have become more consistent over the last year, showing just how valuable he now is to the side. Let’s hope we can keep him at City a while longer.Players like Maddison make football worth watching.
Thanks Boc, I did actually search for this thread and was surprised there wasn't one! Surprises all round! It is now.
No sooner said than done!
He’s such an arseholeInteresting quote from Rodgers today about Maddison.
“It’s only natural you want your absolute best players to be here, and we keep saying that, but we keep losing them".
What the ****. Another stab at the club's senior management.Interesting quote from Rodgers today about Maddison.

Or it could be just a statement of fact..What the ****. Another stab at the club's senior management.

You've clearly made up your mind. I don't see it as whining. More a reluctant acceptance of and his frustration with the way that transfers away can be forced. It's wilful denial of obvious facts that he understands and signed up to.
It's also incredibly stupid to undermine the limited amount of goodwill following Monday by whining about the same issue again.

And what does airing those frustrations publicly achieve? You've clearly made up your mind. I don't see it as whining. More a reluctant acceptance of and his frustration with the way that transfers away can be forced.
