But you were proud of them for getting to the final :102: So they obviously wanted to be successful.

I hate this new way of thinking. Losing is for losers. Kids - Deal with it, learn from it and come back stronger next time. Losing shouldn't feel good, losing should feel bad, very bad

which was one of the reasons for my suggestion for the radical restructing of youth football which was trashed on here.

Young kids shouldn't be feeling like Chris Waddle after Italia 90. Thats when football stops becoming what it should be.

Well let's hope you're never responsible when it turns out that the difference between winning a losing is the difference between life and death.

It seems here, you have said that losing is extreme bad. It's for losers. It does nothing for a ten year old's confidence.

My point was young kids shouldn't be told that losing is terrible. After 12 years yes, they can learn then to become competitive and deal with it like a German international football.

:038: a couple of them were crying which shows how much it meant to them

My kids know ony too well if they want to beat me at magnetic fishing, they need to practice.

Two of them are in their playroom now undergoing a strict training regime that they've drawn up between them. They foolishly left their regime laying around and I studied it to the letter. I have copied their regime and I have taken it a step further. They will NEVER beat me!!!

I know its not the done thing now, but when i was in my first year of secondary school (i think) i took back some awful test results, i think five tests i barely passed 2 and failed 3. My mum told me it was pathetic and i would not ammount to anything. i ended up with A's and B's in my GCSEs because it made me work harder.

In Primary school i was first lumped in goal for the school team because nobody else wanted to. i knew it was because i wasn't good enough, so i worked harder and got into midfield eventually.

If i had been told "well done, you did your best" i would't have even achieved that. Loosing builds character, and determination.

But not at 8, 9, 10 years old.

i think they should be encouraged "your getting there" "Try a bit Harder" etc but should never be taught to accept loosing.

It should be clear that their current standard isn't good enough, its just how you do it.

What experience have to got Hazza that makes you so wise on the upbringing of children?

Zero but my opinion is simply applying to football and sport. My suggestion was in reason to develop footballers etc. I played Rugby where we only played friendlies and then one cup competition and that system is incredibly successful. I fully understand getting bollocked when it comes to education.

As I have said my suggestion applys to sport. There is little to gain in telling as young lad ''you're a disgrace. You're performance was as good as Maybury's on Saturday. Now improve or your dropped. You little idiot'

Education's different, that makes or breaks a kid's future.
